As host, producer and writer for WTTW, Geoffrey Baer tours Chicago’s world-renowned architecture and highlights our city’s rich history. Baer is an expert on all things in and around Chicago, from the El, to the Chicago River to Chicago’s downtown buildings.
We’re proud that Baer will host this year’s BOMA/Chicago TOBY/Gold Circle Awards Gala, which honors Chicago’s commercial real estate leaders and buildings.
BOMA/Chicago is celebrating its 110th anniversary in 2012, and Baer will provide a brief retrospective on Chicago history at this year’s event, slated for January 26 at the historic Great Hall in Union Station
Baer’s newest production is “Chicago’s Loop: A New Walking Tour,” which traces the history of Chicago’s buildings from the inception of the world’s first skyscraper. Throughout the documentary, he uncovers the history, architecture, excitement — and most of all — fascinating stories of the buildings that make up Chicago’s Loop.
