Planning to Enter the TOBY Awards? Nominate Team Members for a Gold Circle, Too

There are many benefits to an awards competition.  There’s the recognition and honor that goes along with winning or even being nominated.  There’s exposure for best practices and for outstanding accomplishments by individuals.  And, there’s reinforcement that business is being done right with the right team members in place.

As you may know, BOMA/Chicago offers two awards competitions – the TOBYs for buildings and the Gold Circle Awards for the men and women who comprise our Building and Affiliate members.

Nominations for the Gold Circle Awards opened July 30 and will run through August 31.  And, the TOBY competition kicked off this week, with the entry process slated to close September 7.   Of course, all BOMA/Chicago members are highly encouraged to nominate a colleague for one of the five Gold Circle categories; and Building members should consider one of the 14 TOBY categories.

But why not consider both?

Building management teams that plan to pursue a TOBY should nominate their Property Manager, Building Engineer, Security Director and perhaps a rising star for the Emerging Leader category. And, recognize an outstanding Affiliate Member.

Along with the benefits noted above, you’ll have an opportunity to engage many members of your building management team in the process.  You’ll learn more about each other and each other’s strengths and accomplishments.  And, you’ll build camaraderie.

Rise up to the challenge.  Enter colleagues for the Gold Circle Awards while you’re preparing the TOBY applications.  Gather your team and compete.

And, make plans to attend the BOMA/Chicago 2012-13 TOBY Awards Gala.  It’s tentatively scheduled for January 31, 2013 in the Great Hall at Union Station.
